2020 Code2040 Summit

We are re-imagining Summit for a remote world!

A virtual Summit opens up so many opportunities. It gives us the chance to call in folks who wouldn't be able to join us in San Francisco. It opens our speaker and panelist pool to folks across the country. It gives us a brand new opportunity to step back and focus on what our community truly needs in this time of great uncertainty, fear, anger, and possibility.

Last month, we invited you to tell us what you needed in this time of great fear, uncertainty, and opportunity. We’re so grateful for all the responses we received from you and the trust you’ve put in us to meet this moment. We don’t take that trust lightly.

With that in mind, we’ve decided to postpone our annual Summit. Over the next few weeks our team will be working to build a virtual conference that is informed by your needs and reflective of the season we find ourselves facing. We’ll share more information as it comes together. For now, we miss you and can’t wait for the day when we can gather together again!

Once we figure out what Summit 2020 will look like, we will put out a call for presenters. Please follow us on Twitter at @code2040 and check back here for more information!

ABOUT THE SUMMIT

Over the past 7 years, the Code2040 community has grown to include 5,000 program participants, alumni, partners, and allies. The annual Code2040 Summit brings together this vast community from across the country to do three things: learn, empower and connect.

Building and advocating for diversity and inclusion in a non-diverse industry comes with considerable challenges and barriers. This is hard work. At the Summit, we will explore the tools, resources and actions available from an individual to company level to effectively advocate and progress racial equity in the industry. Throughout this journey, we will also focus on how the prioritization of self-care allows us all to thrive and be the best “us” we can be in supporting this critical mission.  We will accomplish this through facilitated discussions, workshops and networking opportunities.
