Join us for Welcome Weekend 2024!
Saturday, June 15th, 2024
Welcome Weekend is a 3 day in-person opportunity for fellows to build community and understand the bigger WHY of the Fellows Program. We invite other community members (you!) on Day 2 to build connections, learn tools for growth in racial equity advocacy work, and imagine a future of racial equity within the tech industry.
Through Welcome Weekend, participants learn tools for growth in racial equity advocacy work, thereby amplifying their ability to drive structural changes and cultural shifts in educational, work, and social spaces, and the larger tech ecosystem. This mobilization of change agents and deployment of learning and resources is key in actualizing systems change.
In order to create the unique space our community needs…
We procure accessible venues and build safe, community-oriented spaces
We create and curate culturally responsive racial equity-based curriculum
We utilize marketing tools that will enable us to engage more tech industry stakeholders who hold decision making power in the innovation economy
